Article Private Equity Wealth and Asset Management Tax Law | 16/09/13 | 1 min. | Xavier Rohmer Clara Ferrari

Duke Street has sold the Biomnis group, of which he had been holding the reigns since 2008, to Bio Alfras, a company chaired by Mr. Jean-François Delepoulle, and benefiting from the support of AXA Private Equity and Partners Group, the group’s main creditors.

The French leader in the medical pathology sector, with approximately 60% of the French specialized medical pathology market, the Biomnis group, mainly implemented on two sites in France, has approximately 1,800 employees.

Such change in control comes with a restructuring of the group’s debt as well as a new money contribution of approximately twenty million euros, in which AXA Private Equity, Partners Group and Duke Street will take part, the latter remaining a minority shareholder of the group. The Biomnis group will continue to be chaired by Charles Woler.

August & Debouzy, with a team composed of Xavier Rohmer (Partner), Hélène Delurier (Counsel), Lydia Tchantchinoff (Counsel), Maria Queffelec, Benoit Robert and Clara Ferrari, advised the buyer on the tax and corporate aspects and law firm Blaise Guichon advised on the litigation aspect.
